Tips To Deal With Inner-Pressure

I Love Beginnings and Endings.

You might be the kind of person who thrives with pressure; I can relate, for, I am one of those people. If you do not deal with stress well, then you need to focus on decreasing where your energy goes so you can streamline your efforts. If I ever feel like I can not handle the pressure in my life that instantly tells us: decrease where energy is going.

I have three things to focus on to keep the pressure off of you if you struggle with feeling overwhelmed.

Reduce Your Daily Tasks

Again, this depends on who you are. I believe in more activity, more action, going harder, and giving more of yourself to the day — but that doesn’t work for everyone. Waking up knowing, “Alright, I need to conquer this day and get things done” for me, gives me a sense of purpose and direction, in fact, I am supposed to be cooking dinner. Still, I was so inspired to write this, I had to sit down and put the words together. I can hear the oven ticking as it warms up. For dinner, I am eating Bison, Broccolini, and Jalapeño.

For you, something like laundry may be a task that leaves you wishing you had more time. Personally, I don’t do laundry anymore for this exact reason — IT IS A WASTE OF MY TIME. I pay $30 to a local business to handle my laundry, and I am so grateful that I make that choice. They pick the laundry up, process it in 48 hours, and drop it off to me folded ay my doorstep. Laundry is really a three-day task for me when I do it because I do not put up on my list as a good use of time. I finally accepted that I don’t have the discipline to do it timely, orderly, or effectively. I simply do not have the patience or skill. I’d rather spend my time doing something like this, spending quality time, or honestly not doing anything. Reducing your daily tasks will decrease your stress. It will help you be more efficient with the activities that really matter.

Shut It Down Earlier

Casually browsing the internet or mindlessly snacking shouldn’t be a reason to stay up late. Yes, I have done it as well but getting a full night of sleep and getting up in the morning feels so much better to me. If you are staying up late without a purpose, ask yourself about the habits you are building. Go to bed! Set your intention to go to bed earlier so you can get a full night of sleep, so you can get up earlier, so you are not tired the next day — GO TO BED!!!

Simplify Your Life

Examine The Four Activities that give you the most happiness, fulfillment, and progress in life and mainly do those four activities, over-and-over. Of course, this depends on a million and one factors, but I’ll give you a practical example of how you could apply this.

One could easily argue that doing this would mean that there will not be enough time left over for other activities, and to be transparent, that is the point. If you focus for two weeks or two months, intensely on just a few tasks, you’ll never feel overwhelmed or pressured. You will get so much done that all you want to do is keep hitting the pavement. So yes, you’re right, doing this will not allow you to do everything, and my friend, that is the point. We want you to focus on the four activities that will bring the most results.

Your name is Amanda, or if you are a guy, then your name is Victor, everything below is an example of what you could do to improve your life.

Let’s say you have kids, so automatically, one of your four activities will be spending quality time with your kids. Another activity you may really like, especially if you are over the age of 27, is you may enjoy sleep. Personally, I have found a rhythm with getting my full 8 hours of sleep. Last week I slept for twelve hours after I finished the manuscript for my next book. I worked for 11 hours that day, and by the end, my brain was fried. I needed that sleep. On average, I usually sleep about 7 hours a night. Still, over the last month, I have been intentionally getting 8 or more. So there’s two: Kids and Sleep.

Now let’s say you have a hobby or activity that brings you happiness like going for a walk, reading, lifting weights, or doing a 60-minute yoga session in the morning. This can be so many different things. In fact, it could also be something unproductive, like watching television. Now, I am going to guess and assume that you are working on your health and care about physical fitness more than TV. That now makes three. We will just call that: Moving Around.

And lastly, you might mention your job or business. Some of you have rental properties, real estate, side-hustles, and careers you love. There are a million ways to make money, so let’s just call this section: Money Making Amanda Time or Money Making Victor Time.

Now, you have a blueprint for the four things that get your time: Money Making Time, Quality Time, Moving Around, and Quality Sleep.

This is called Setting An Intention With Your Time. If you set the intention, and then focus for 30 days or even 90 days, on those 4 tasks, then you will never feel the pressure again. You will have a streamlined focus. You will get things done. You will feel progress toward your goals. You could even add a 4th or 5th block in there to fit your lifestyle. The purpose of doing this is to gain self-awareness of your life and to get off of autopilot.
